Elsa Roux Chamoux est une Soprano française. Elle a commencé à chanter de l’opéra très jeune, et s’est vite rendue compte qu’elle voulait faire de sa passion son métier. Elle a été membre de l’Opéra Studio de l’Opéra National du Rhin à Strasbourg de septembre 2020 à juin 2022. De 2018 à 2020, elle a fait partie de l’Opera Course de la Guildhall School of Music and Drama de Londres où elle a aussi obtenu son Master in Performance en 2018 sous l’enseignement de Susan McCulloch et de Ruby Philogene.

Elle a été choisie pour intégrer la Promotion Brahms de l’Académie Musicale Philippe Jaroussky pour la saison 2023-2024.

Elle a également participé au programme Exzellenz Labor Oper 2023, à Weikersheim, dirigé par Hedwig Fassbenber. En 2017, elle a fait partie du Pôle Lyrique d’Excellence Cécile DeBoever à Dardilly (Lyon 69).

Elle est lauréate du Cercle Richard Wagner (Strasbourg) pour la bourse de Bayreuth 2023.

Elle a également été distinguée au Festival Lyrichorégra de Montréal, en obtenant la bourse du Meilleur Chanteur International.

Elsa a participé à plusieurs masterclasses avec Adrianne Pieczonka, John Fulljames, Vesselina Kasarova, Malcolm Walker, Christian Immler, Susan Bullock, Stéphane Degout, Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Elaine Kidd, Edith Wiens, Mathieu Pordoy, David Gowland, Andrea Sanguinetti et Janet Perry.

Mais elle n’a pas qu’une corde à son arc, elle a aussi obtenu sa licence en Gestion et Management à Paris (en enseignement à distance), et a pratiqué le Rink-Hockey à haut niveau pendant plus de 14 ans en championnat masculin. Elle a joué plusieurs années en équipe de France féminine, avec laquelle elle a été sacrée Championne du Monde en 2012 au Brésil, et Vice-championne du Monde en 2014 en France. Elle a néanmoins décidé de prendre sa retraite sportive en décembre 2015 pour se consacrer entièrement à l’opéra.

Elle a été nominée par le critique Stephan Mösch du célèbre magazine allemand Opernwelt, pour la distinction dans la catégorie '“Jeune chanteur émergent” des “Oper des Jahres” 2023, pour ses rôles de Kilissa et 1ère Erynis dans l’opéra Oreste de Weingartner au théâtre d’Erfurt, en Allemagne.

She has been chosen to participate in the Brahms Promotion at the Académie Musicale Philippe Jaroussky for the season 2023-2024.

She was also selected for the 2023 Exzellenz Labor Oper program, directed by Hedwig Fassbender, in Weikersheim. In 2017, she was part of the Pôle Lyrique d’Excellence Cécile DeBoever in Dardilly (France).

She has been laureate of the Cercle Richard Wagner (Strasbourg) for the Bayreuth bursary in 2023.

She has been noticed at the Festival Lyricorégra of Montréal, obtaining the Best International Singer bursary.

But she does not have only one string to her bow: she also obtained her bachelor's degree in Management in Paris (in e-learning) and practiced Rink-Hockey to a high level for more than 14 years in the men's championship. She played for several years in the French women's team, with which she was crowned World Champion in 2012 in Brazil, and Vice-World Champion in 2014 in France. She nevertheless decided to retire in December 2015 to devote herself entirely to opera.

She has been nominated by Stephan Mösch, the well-known critic from the famous magazine Opernwelt, as “Oper des Jahres” 2023 in the category “Newcomer”, for her roles of Kilissa and 1st Erynis in Weingartner’s Oreste at Erfurt Theater in Germany.
